2000 acres of undeveloped land for hiking and riding.  East on I-78 to Exit 41.  South on Plainfield Ave. 0.7 miles.  Left on Valley Rd 4.4 miles.  (The name changes to Skytop to Coles.  It twists.  Go straight through every intersection.)  The Trailside Museum is open 1:00 to 5:00 PM daily.

Morristown National Historic Park was established in 1933, and is the FIRST national historic park in the United States.  Gen. Washington lived at the Ford Mansion during the winters of 1777 and 1779.  I-287 North to exit 36A.  At the end of the ramp, get to the left lane.  Park is on the left 0.1 miles.

More than 1600 wooded acres.  Winter encampment of the Continental Army.  Part of Morristown National Historical Park.  Wick House is a restored and furnished farm house that served as military headquarters during the encampment.  Cross country skiing allowed.  From Millington, take Basking Ridge Road to Maple Avenue to Route 202.  Cross Route 202 and follow Hardscrabble Road 2 miles to Jockey Hollow Road on the right.

 Craftsman Farms, located in and owned by the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, is the former home of noted turn-of-the-century designer Gustav Stickley, a major proponent of the "Arts and Crafts" home building and furnishing. The log house, built in 1911, is one of the most significant landmarks of the American Arts and Crafts movement, and the site, which consists of 26 acres of the original 650-acre tract, has been designated a National Historic Landmark.
