ZONING ORDINANCE ENFORCEMENT

The Land Use Ordinance includes a list of PERMITTED uses in each zone and a list of PROHIBITED uses in all zones. The result is a complete set of standards for the use of each property within the Township.

The Zoning Enforcement Officer inspects properties where non-permitted or prohibited uses are suspected, and will issue a warning or citation as appropriate to enforce the law. Any resident who suspects a non-permitted or prohibited use should contact the Zoning Enforcement Officer and file a complaint. This notice advises neighboring property owners of the relief being sought and of the fact that all interested citizens will have an opportunity to be heard at the meeting.
