WELFARE & SOCIAL SERVICES

The Welfare, Social Services and Public Assistance functions for Long Hill Township are handled by the Morris County's Office of Temporary Assiatance Program Services. (click on "Services"). They provide a variety of financial, medical and social services to persons/families who meet certain criteria, depending on family size, monthly income and assets/resources. These include Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, General Assistance, Food Stamps, Medicaid and NJ KIDCARE.

If you would like free and confidential advice about where to find the right kind of help, contact First Call for Help, a United Way funded agency located in Parsippany.  They are set up to counsel you on issues such as housing, transportation, financial, employment, child care, drug abuse or other personal problems.  Then they will help you make contact with an appropriate government or charitable agency.
