The Millington VFC answered 219 alarms in 2001 and 185 alarms in 2000.  The volunteers also expend 1000 hours in training and maintenance each year.

The 20 active members of the Fire Company accomplish their fire fighting tasks using:

• A 2001 E-One pumper with a foam system - Engine 11
• A 1992 E-One 75 foot aerial pumper/ladder truck - Truck 14
• A 1969 Dodge four wheel drive Brush truck - Engine 13.  In 1999, this truck was retrofitted with a new 300 gal tank and 250 gpm Honda pump.  This truck responds to all brush fires and off-the-road fire and rescue situations.
• A 2002 Ford Support Truck - Millington 12.  New in the Summer of 2002, this special purpose truck carries our rescue equipment and gear, along with pumps and hazmat equipment.

If you have small children or invalids in your household, we strongly urge you to place the appropriate child/tot-finder or invalid finder stickers on the window of their bedroom(s).  These stickers alert the fire fighters to immediately search those rooms for a child or invalid in the event of a fire. We also have a reflectorized bumper sticker for automobiles which carry invalids. To receive FREE stickers, please contact or email your request to us.  Long Hill Township residents only, please.

The company has a Junior Firefighter program for 16-21 year olds.  Inquire.

The Millington Volunteer Fire Company supports itself through an annual fund drive.  Please remember that the money you contribute is used to provide fire protection and rescue services to you and your family.  We can't think of a better investment!
